Second Annual Hope Begins Here Award Reception A Success!

The Boston North Cancer Association held its Second Annual Hope Begins Here Awards Reception
on May 9, 2012.

This year’s program honored Donald M. Perlman, MD of Marblehead for his 50 years of practice and outstanding leadership in cancer treatment and prevention on the North Shore. Dr. Perlman currently practices with Surgical Specialists of the North Shore.
Three $2500 scholarships were also awarded to North Shore students whose lives have been touched by cancer in honor of David J. Solimine Sr. and Donald M. Perlman, MD and in memory of F. John Bargoot, MD.

Contributions in excess of $30,000 were raised, with all proceeds benefiting Boston North Cancer Association's
Scholarship Program! Tony Gallo Music Services entertained over 200 guests who attended the event and Lightshed Photography photographed the evening.

We are grateful and appreciative of the generosity of our sponsors, event patrons, and the many individuals who attended the event and supported Boston North Cancer Association's innovative scholarship program with contributions.
